MY HUSBAND AND I RECENTLY WENT THROUGH ANGELLA CONRARD TO OBTAIN A REVERSE MORTGAGE ON THE HOME WE HAVE OWNED FOR MANY YEARS.

WE ORIGINALLY LEARNED OF THIS OF TYPE OF MORTGAGE FROM A FINANCIAL ADVISER ON THE”TODAY” SHOW, AND FROM THERE WE BEGAN TO LEARN ALL THE INS AND OUTS OF THEM. OUR FIRST CONTACT WITH A REVERSE MORTGAGE SPECIALIST WAS WHEN WE STOPPED BY A LOCAL OFFICE TO OBTAIN SOME INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT, THE OWNER SAW US LOOKING AT A BROCHURE AND ASSURED RON AND I INTO HIS OFFICE TO EXPLAIN THE PRODUCT. WITHIN FIVE MINUTES, HE HAD A STACK OF PAPERS IN  FRONT OF US TO SIGN  .WE FELT PRESSURED ,WHEN HE TOLD US THAT SINGING  , DIDN'T COMMIT US TO ANYTHING , WE TOLD HIM WE NEEDED MORE TIME TO DECIDE IF THIS IS REALLY WHAT WE WANTED , AND NEEDED TIME TO TALK IT OVER .

WE BEGAN AN ON-LINE SEARCH OF REVERSE MORTAGAGES, AND THAT’S WHEN WE CAME ACROSS ANGELLA’S SITE. THERE WAS A NUMBER TO CALL; WHEN WE CALLED SHE PERSONALLY ANSWERED A LOT OF QUESTIONS. SHE TOLD ME THAT AARP HAS A GREAT BOOKLET THAT TAKES THE CONFUSION OUT OF THE PROCESS. RON WORKS AT THE LIBRARY AND CHECKED OUT  "REVERSE MORTGAGES FOR DUMMIES" WE READ , CALLED ANGELA EVERY DAY , ASKED HER MANY QUESTIONS , AND WHEN WE DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND APPLY, SHE WAS SO HELPFUL ,TELLING US TO TAKE OUR TIME, BECAUSE THIS IS A HUGE DECISION , AND ONE WE NEED TO KNOW IS RIGHT FOR US. 

ANGELA ARRANGED FOR AN APPRAISAL OF OUR PROPERTY, AND WE WERE SURPRISED THAT IT CAME IN A LOT HIGHER THAN EXPECTED.

SHE FED-EX ED THE APPLICATION AND WE SPENT THAT EVENING FILLING IT OUT. SHE CALLED EVERY FEW DAYS WITH UPDATES AND WE FAXED HER A FEW ADDITIONAL PAPERS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS. SHE MADE IT SO EASY, AND KEPT US INFORMED ALL THE WAY.

IT ENTIRE MORTGAGE CLOSED IN THREE WEEKS , SHE CALLED DURING THE SECOND WEEK TO TELL US NOT TO MAKE OUR USUAL MORTGAGE , AS IT WAS CLOSING BEFORE OUR PAYMENT WAS DUE !  THAT WAS A GREAT FEELING, ONE THAT WE WILL ENJOY EVERY MONTH. 

WE ARE RECOMMENDING ANGELA TO FRIENDS WHO ARE ALSO NEEDING A WAY OF USING THE EQUITY THAT IS DOING NO GOOD JUST SITTING THERE. RON AND I ARE VERY HAPPY THAT WE MADE THIS DECISION.  I OWN AN INTERIOR DESIGN BUSINESS, AND AM CUTTING MY SCHEDULE FROM 6 DAYS TO 3 DAYS A WEEK! I AM ALREADY DOING THE THINGS THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO BEFORE, LIKE RE-DOING THE INTERIOR OF OUR OWN HOME ,  MEETING MY FRIENDS FOR LUNCH, AND PLANNING A TRIP TO SANTA FE NEXT MONTH !
